Terms of Service

1 - Definitions

• Terms of Service refers to these general terms of use applicable to the Services.
• The Publisher refers to the company CENTRAVET, responsible for publishing and providing the PILEPOILS Services.
• The User is a pet owner, a natural person, who has chosen to use the PILEPOILS Applications or website.
• Intellectual Property Rights refers to the intellectual property rights held by CENTRAVET.
• Personal Data refers to any information concerning an identified or identifiable natural person, processed by the Publisher in the context of the Services.
• Identifier refers to the personal identifier associated with the User's account as well as any confidential code or password used by the User.
• Services refers to all online services intended for Users, and in particular the Directory Service and the Online Appointment Booking Service made available by CENTRAVET.
• Site refers to the website published by CENTRAVET.

2 - General Framework

These Terms of Service aim to define the conditions and terms by which the Publisher makes available to Users the services offered by the PILEPOILS Site and mobile Applications.

Any connection to PILEPOILS is subject to compliance with these Terms of Service. Upon registration, Users must ensure they have read and accepted these Terms of Service as well as the Privacy Policy.

3 - Access to Services

Users must access the site or download the application from the Apple Store or Google Play before being able to register.

To register, Users can use their Gmail® or Apple® account, or create an account directly in the Application by completing an online form.

The User undertakes to provide true, accurate, up-to-date and complete information, and not to create a false identity or impersonate another person.

Users choose a Password and an Identifier and ensure their confidentiality is maintained. Once the form is validated and the Terms of Service accepted, a confirmation email is sent.

The User undertakes to keep their identifiers secret and not to disclose them. Maintaining their confidentiality is entirely their responsibility.

The User is solely responsible for the use of their Identifiers. Any access to or use of the Services from their account will be deemed attributable to them.

The Services are provided "as is" and are accessible without guarantee of availability or regularity. CENTRAVET nevertheless strives to make them accessible 24/7.

CENTRAVET may carry out maintenance operations, updates and technical improvements that may temporarily close the service.

CENTRAVET cannot be held responsible for disruptions to the Internet network, technical issues related to the nature of the network, or malicious acts.

CENTRAVET shall under no circumstances be held liable for indirect damages (such as loss of opportunity, loss of profit, loss of business) suffered by the User when using the Services.

4 - Directory Service

The Site offers Users the ability to use a directory service of veterinarians practicing in France who have subscribed to the online appointment booking service.

This service allows the User to search for a veterinarian by name and location. CENTRAVET does not guarantee the completeness of its directory.

The User always retains free choice of the veterinarians they consult, in accordance with applicable provisions of the Public Health Code.

The use of the directory service is free.

5 - Online Appointment Booking Service

The User may, at any time, book an online appointment with a veterinarian for a consultation at an available time slot. Each appointment is transmitted in real time to the veterinarian.

The User authorises the veterinarian, through CENTRAVET, to send them SMS and/or emails relating to appointments made on the Site or in an Application.

CENTRAVET accepts no liability in the event of errors in the User's contact details that make it impossible to send confirmations.

CENTRAVET is in no way responsible for a cancellation by the veterinarian following the scheduling of an appointment.

The scheduling of an appointment constitutes a firm commitment on the part of the User. Any non-attendance must be subject to prior cancellation or rescheduling with the veterinarian.

The User acknowledges that they are solely responsible for the consequences of their non-attendance at an appointment. The veterinarian retains full freedom to open or close their online appointment service to the User.

The use of the appointment service is free for the user. It is subject to a subscription for veterinarians.

6 - Care Guides Service

Care guides on domestic animals are made available. CENTRAVET cannot be held responsible for their accuracy or completeness. These guides do not replace professional advice, a diagnosis or veterinary treatment.

7 - Intellectual Property

CENTRAVET's Services and all their components are, unless otherwise stated, the exclusive property of CENTRAVET.

All trademarks and logos belonging to CENTRAVET may not be used by the User without the prior written consent of CENTRAVET.

The User is in particular prohibited from adapting, modifying, translating, commercialising or reproducing all or part of the Services provided by CENTRAVET, by any means or medium.

8 - Proof Agreement

The Parties agree to consider messages received by fax or electronic means as original writings within the meaning of Article 1316-1 of the Civil Code, having the same value as the original.

9 - Waiver

The failure of either Party to invoke one or more provisions of the Terms of Service shall in no case imply a waiver of the right to invoke them at a later date.

10 - Amendment of Terms of Service

CENTRAVET reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any significant changes will be notified to Users with reasonable notice. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the new provisions.

12 - Partial Invalidity

In the event that certain provisions of the Terms of Service are unenforceable, the Parties will remain bound by the other provisions and will endeavour to remedy the unenforceable clauses in the same spirit.

If any provision is declared void or unenforceable, it shall be deemed unwritten and the other provisions shall remain in force.

13 - Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The Terms of Service are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, Users and CENTRAVET will consult in order to reach an amicable agreement. Customer service can be reached at the following address:

In the absence of an amicable agreement or if no response is received within two months, the User may submit the dispute to a mediator. The parties remain free to accept or refuse mediation.

In the absence of an amicable resolution, any dispute shall be submitted to the Tribunal de Grande Instance de Rennes, to which the Parties grant territorial jurisdiction, regardless of the place of performance or the defendant's domicile.

14 - Personal Data Protection (GDPR)

CENTRAVET acts as Data Controller for the Personal Data collected and processed in the context of the PILEPOILS Services.

14.1. GDPR Compliance

The processing of Personal Data is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

14.2. Privacy Policy

The User is invited to consult CENTRAVET's Privacy Policy, accessible on the Site and Applications, which describes in detail:

• The purposes and legal bases of processing (performance of contract, legitimate interest, consent, etc.).
• The categories of data collected.
• The data retention period.
• The recipients of the data (veterinarians, technical service providers, etc.).

14.3. User Rights

The User has the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of their Personal Data, as well as the right to define instructions regarding the fate of their data after their death.

The User also has the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés).
